Professional

As a San Diego native, Andrew taught scuba diving off the coast of La Jolla for 4 years through his college career. With a Bachelor of Science in Business, and an emphasis in Finance, Andrew wanted to make sure he could find a place not where he would have a job, but rather a place where he could put his values, integrity and work ethic to use. With so many possibilities, Andrew decided to make sure what his professional calling was and moved to the Caribbean to follow his dream of teaching scuba diving in the tropics. After seven months of water saturation, Andrew decided it was time to start a family and a career. He moved back to San Diego, and started his professional career with Northwestern Mutual in 2001 and ended up marrying his college sweetheart.

Andrew thought there wouldn’t be a better place to start a lifetime career than Northwestern Mutual. “Northwestern Mutual achieved the longest record at number one in any industry in the history of FORTUNE® magazine’s “most admired” survey, after leading the life insurance for 25 years” [March 16, 2009 issue, FORTUNE® magazine survey].

Since the beginning of Andrew's career as a Financial Representative, he has progressed to the role of Wealth Management Advisor. He has worked hard to earn a few credentials educating him in various markets to benefit his clients.

ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant®)

The ChFC® designation has been a mark of excellence for financial planners for almost thirty years and currently requires more courses than any other financial planning credential. The curriculum covers extensive education and application training in all aspects of financial planning, income taxation, investments, and estate and retirement planning.

CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter®)

The CLU® designation is one of the oldest and most respected credentials in financial services, dating back to the late 1920’s. It represents a thorough understanding of a broad array of personal risk management and life insurance planning issues and stresses ethics, professionalism, and in-depth knowledge in the delivery of financial advice.

CASL® (Chartered Advisor for Senior Living®)

CASL® is a rigorous credential in the senior and retirement planning space, with curriculum that covers wealth accumulation, income distribution, and estate planning strategies for those preparing for or in retirement. Advisors taking this program commit between 250 and 300 hours of study and take about 18 months to complete the designation.

CLTC® (Certification for Long Term Care®)

Certification for Long-Term Care educates professionals in the fields of insurance, financial services, law and accounting about the severe consequences a need for care over an extended period of years would have, not on their client, but on the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing of those the client loves. The goal is to give these professionals the proper skill set to discuss those consequences, offer a plan to mitigate them, and when appropriate, recommend long-term care insurance as a funding source for that plan.

ChSNC (Chartered Special Needs Consultant)

The ChSNC™ (Chartered Special Needs Consultant™) program teaches experienced financial professionals the technical and collaborative skills necessary to help clients make plans for the future security of a loved one who has special needs.
